The Alzheimer disease belongs to a group of chronic, progressive, degenerative diseases. In this group include all forms of dementia, Parkinson's disease, Sclerosis multiplex and others.
Dementia is the usual term used to describe the difficulties relating, primarily, memory and behavior in a dementia. In 2001, the number of people worldwide suffering from this disease, was 24 million. In 2008 their number has grown to 30 million. As a result of the global trend to extend the lifespan, experts who study this disease, considered by 2020 this number will increase to 56 million in 2050 and reaches over 100 million.
Every 7 seconds, somewhere in the world appears new case of dementia. The disease begins almost unremarkable, gradually, and if there was more advanced in age, the affected persons and their relatives, these difficulties are attribute of age, respectively - age.
This is a call for cooperation with all stakeholders to provide assistance and support from the Alzheimer painful disease. Such ideas about the possible forms and ways how to implement the joint forces and commitment is welcome.
